Hailing from the sunshine state of Florida, Erin spent her childhood exploring local swamps and citrus groves. Her family loved traveling, often visiting Europe and Asia during her youth. Erin’s first love is dancing; she honed her ballet skills at a pre-professional school, graduating as a senior in high school before moving to New York City to pursue dance further. Alongside her dance career, she earned an Associate’s Degree in Jewelry Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and interned at Barry Kieselstein-Cord.
In 2009, Erin relocated to Bozeman to complete her BFA in Metalsmithing with a Minor in Small Business/Entrepreneurship at Montana State University. She holds certifications in GIA Diamond Essentials, GIA Diamonds & Diamond Grading, DCA Colored Gemstone Courses, and the Stone Setting Comprehensive from New Approach School for Jewelers.
When she’s not choreographing the show at Gem Gallery, Erin is creating works and teaching for Raison D’être Dance Project, of which she is Co-Founder and on the Artistic Director Committee. This vital part of the Bozeman dance community allows her to keep living her dance dream and moving with her besties after work. At home, Erin loves spending time with her husband, Mark, and their two cats, Smokey and Walter. Her creativity also flourishes in the kitchen, where she enjoys baking sourdough, creating elaborate charcuterie boards, and crafting her own bitters.
