I was inspired by creating patterns with geometric shapes, and selected shapes that would be unexpectedly harmonious together. I also wanted to use all Yogos in Yellow gold, and incorporate a scrolled band inspired by the volute shapes used in Louis XIV Baroque, and later Rococo era furniture and decor, which avoided straight lines and used a continuous flow of asymmetrical shapes and S curves. Cabriole is also a ballet step that comes from the Italian word meaning leap of a Goat. It's an allegro step that jumps off of one leg and meets the other leg in the air, and can be performed in any direction. I like the double meaning and references that fit the light airiness aesthetic of this design.
